Casinos

It is recommended that tourists intending to gamble visit many casinos to choose which atmosphere they prefer.  Sometimes the downtown casinos seem to have higher payoffs, so be sure to consider these casinos in addition to those along Las Vegas Boulevard.  Casinos are everywhere, after all this is Vegas.  But a few of the major casinos are listed below.

  • Luxor Las Vegas - Has an open airy feel which decreases claustrophobia.
  • Excaliber - Designed with knights, armor, and banners in mind; the casino is very noisy and crowded.
  • MGM Grand - The largest casino in Las Vegas; unique slot machines paying large prizes.
  • Mandalay Bay - Less hectic, and a more airy casino; less crowded than some other casinos.
  • New York - New York - A very dazzling casino set in a miniature New York City.
  • Bellagio - This casino comes closest to the feel of gambling in Monte Carlo.
  • Flamingo Las Vegas - One of the older casinos that has been renovated.
  • The Mirage - Remodeled in 2006, this is a very attractive casino and a good place to gamble.
  • Circus Circus - This hotel has three casinos, and a circus midway is set up throughout them.
  • Wynn Las Vegas - A large, elegant casino with a quiet atmosphere.

Some people find a casino where they win, and then stick with this casino rather than trying their luck at some of the other ones.  Whatever your preference, when you travel to Las Vegas for the casinos, they will definitely be able to accommodate you.
